Part 3 -- Camp 2 to Rome Takeout (River Mile 10 to River Mile 37)

Day 2 was a cold and challenging day so we were glad to find this great cave called Bombshelter Cave where we could have a dry camp

Taking off the wet, uncomfortable wet suit.
Kim and Al heading out on day three
It still hasn't warmed up

Scouting Widowmaker
After looking at Widowmaker our plans to line the boats through was confirmed, so we took the time for a lunch break.
Lining Kim and Al through the upper section
Working through the rocks
To the next section
And the next set of rocks
The upper section of Widowmaker
It was quite a bit of work getting the 3 boats through Widowmaker
We had good weather the afternoon we went through Widowmaker rapid and really enjoyed it especially once the "lining" work was done.
Breakfast at camp 3
Moving out of the Owyhee Gorge to quieter waters
Camp 4 near mile 31 at Sand Hollow
Home on the river
The weather has finally started to get stable so we enjoyed this lazy camp.

Enjoying a late breakfast
Because the weather put us behind schedule, we were forced to get out of the river early at Rome (Mile 37).
Unloading gear
We forgot to leave the keys at the put-in for the vehicle shuttle service. This is the sign they left us at Rome thinking we would go by here, not take out here. So, we had a wait while they reshuttled the vehicles back to Rome.
So we waited
And waited till our vehicles arrived so we could go back home
To dry and clean gear
