Dave checking out Deubendorff rapid (mile 132)
Deubendorff rapid, like most on this trip was at it's highest rating because river levels were so low. In this photo you can see how many obstacles there were to negotiate.
Hiking up Tapeats Creek to Thunder River (mile 133)
Dave at Thunder River after an exhausting 3 mile scramble avoiding the flooding Tapeats Creek
Bob at Thunder River
Thunder River is an amazing spring that just blasts out of the north side of the Grand Canyon. It must be one of the worlds shortest rivers though as it only flows a mile till it dumps into Tapeats Creek.
Looking upstream at Granite Narrows (mile 135) on a beautiful evening

Our incredible chef at Deer Creek falls (mile 136 on May 1st)
