Lisa is very happy to be the secretary of Hilltop Community Church, a non-denominational Christian church that has been in the Carson Valley community for over 40 years. Hilltop is a wonderful neighborhood church only two miles from our home.
Lisa works in the office as part of the church staff answering the phone, managing the church's activity calendar, and providing a variety of other secretarial services. She is really happy to be there and it is only a short walk across the parking lot from Sierra Lutheran High School where Hannah attends (and Caleb will next year).
Lisa graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Industrial and Management Engineering and a commission in the U.S. Air Force. She worked as an engineer at Nellis Air Force Base in the Civil Engineering Squadron and was also the mobility officer for the squadron during the Gulf War. She has taught as a substitute with Douglas County and taught math at Sierra Lutheran High School.
Married to her college sweetheart for 27 years, Lisa and her husband Bob have two amazing kids and an adorable Shih Tzu dog. Her family enjoys a variety of outdoor adventures including rock climbing, canyoneering, mountain biking, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and river rafting.
