Kayaking Black Canyon (October 26, 2013)

Hannah, Lisa, Caleb and Christy all smiles before the launch.

Our kayaking group ready to hit the water on a beautiful October day.

One of our favorite stops comes soon after we launch at the Sauna Cave. It's actually more of a mine than a cave because it was drilled by workers when Hoover Dam was being built to test the rock.

Our good friend Mike Brunson and his son Christian at the entrance to the Sauna Cave.

Our wonderful kids braving the heat of the Sauna Cave (up to 120 °F) and ticking off another geocache using the new GPS Caleb got for his birthday.

Our friends Nancy and Tom Maher.

Brendan Leake all smiles on his first kayak trip. It was great to have him along.

John Roberts and his daughter Lily. The Roberts' have joined us on many of our Outings. Lily was just a baby the first time they went out with us.

A beautiful day on the water. Even the wind was at our back almost the entire day.

Hannah and Caleb wading in the Colorado.

Frank Nason enjoying some relaxing "river time".

The entire gang at Gold Strike Canyon.

Paddling down the river.

Some Desert Bighorn's keeping an eye on us as we float by their water hole.

The kids paddling by themselves. Wow they grow up quick!

Relaxing at Willow Beach and the end of an enjoyable day.

Caleb -- river guy.

Packing up the boats after a great day on the river.
