Bob's 60th birthday was a hit!
Here he is with photo of him when he was a baby.

February 16th -- Bob's birthday morning party -- can he really be 60??

Opening cards with the birthday boy.

For one of his birthday presents, Lisa, Caleb and Hannah gave Bob a jar filled with "wooden tokens" that each have something the are personally thankful for about Bob. He loved it!

Lisa's co-worker, Allyson Francis and her little cutie, Susie.

Lisa took this picture from her office one snowy day this winter. We definitely don't live in Las Vegas anymore!

It was so snowy this winter that Lisa even skied to work a few times.
The skis she used in this picture were an old pair of antique wooden skis that used to belong to Bob's mom.

Again in Lisa's office -- Pastor Kurt Katzorke surprises Tammy Brower with an icicle "sword" taken from the eaves of the Church's office building.

Hannah's good friend from Las Vegas, Lydia Moretto, visited us this winter as a "turning 18" birthday gift for both of them. They loved it!

January 24th, Hannah's 18th birthday. What a wonderful gal and 18 years it's been!

A "library card" tote bag from Mom.

And a book on one of Hannah's favorite places, the Grand Canyon, from our good friend Alex Heindl.

One of Bob's current "putz" projects is rebuilding this 1985 Jayco PopUp camper he bought cheaply from one of our neighbors.

Over the years we've had such a great time camping in our PopUp. With all the fixes and improvements Bob's made to our camper we often have people ask if we're interested in selling it. Finding this little camper is a great way for Bob to enjoy the "therapy" of putzing and have something to make a little money on next spring before the camping season. Plus, it's a way to bless another family with a great little RV as we've been blessed with ours.

This picture was taken in October of last year when Bob first bought the camper. He didn't really get to working in it until January.

The restoration was from top to bottom, and end to end. Including new tires and suspension. (January 2019)

Stabilizing jacks and rewired trailer and lighting system.

A rebuilt lift system, vinyl laminate flooring and paint.

A new spare tire, and rebuilt and refinished cabinets.

A new plumbing system and sink in a tip-over counter top.

A new furnace and propane system. (February 2019)

Finished table and countertops (with Hannah's great help).

Rebuilt slide-out beds and dining cushions. (March 2019)

Enjoying the finished product before reattaching the canvas.

The finished product popped up in our backyard. Bob added a lot of little extra touches like the PVC pole holder between the propane tank and the camper body.

All folded up and ready to go to a new home.

Little did Bob know when he began this project that his colleague Michelle Sibley would end up being the proud owner of this great little RV. Couldn't have gone to a better person. (June 2019)

Happy Camper!

Bob's little project on it's way to the next great adventure.

The little Jayco's new home when not being used. So great to know it's being so well taken care of!

The goal and hope when this project began was to bless another family with a great little RV -- things sure did turn out great!

Another project that Bob worked on this winter was to replace our range. Our house came with a Jenn-Air downdraft grill-range, which was really great, but it started giving us problems and parts were getting hard to find. So we splurged and bought a high-end GE dual fuel, slide-in range.

Because the range was larger, Bob had to remodel the countertop island it slides in and, because it's not a down-draft range, he had to rebuild the copper hood above it with a ventilation system through the ceiling and out the roof. It ended up being a fairly large project that ended up really nice. Lisa loves it!!!

And, it even has Wifi control! You can't cook remotely, but almost...

We also managed to get out skiing this winter. We really enjoy going to the Diamond Peak resort. It's small by Tahoe standards, but it is reasonably priced, never too busy, and has amazing views.
