Jim Ness and Steve Hamilton at "High Lookout" on the South Loop trail to the summit of Mount Charleston. This year, instead of doing a one day ascent of the east face, we decided to do an overnight high on the South Loop trail near Heartbreak Ridge. We would make our ascent to high camp on the last day of 2005 and summit on the morning of the first day of 2006. The weather was fairly unstable making this a rather "fun" trip.
