A new puppy and bikes for Christmas. Doesn't get much better than that.

Caleb in the "boy" section.

Our handsome son.

We were so proud of Hannah because she was one of the two main characters in the 1st through 3rd grade Christmas production -- The Perfect Gift.

The Perfect Gift is a story based on the gifts that the three wise men brought for baby Jesus. These gifts were purchased at the "Star of Wonder" gift shop. Hannah and the other little girl dressed like her (pictured above) were the two managers of the store selling the gifts to the "three wise men" between them.

We spent Veteran's Day in Valley of Fire State Park with our good friend Mike Brunson and his kids. While there we set up a rappel on one of the big cliffs to take the kids down. It was about 100 feet high and we wanted to get them used to being on a rope by themselves. So one of us lowered the kids while the other rappelled along side to encourage them. They did great!

Here's Hannah all "thumbs up" after her trip down.

Here's Caleb coming down with Dad. He did great too and had a lot of fun.

Caleb rock scrambling in Valley of Fire.

Our wonderful Hannah. Amazing how fast they grow.

Valley of Fire is really an amazing place with wind eroded features and pockets everywhere. Here Lisa found a hole in the sandstone right below some petroglyphs to stick her head in making it look like she was stuck or something.

Of course when Mommy did it Caleb had to do it as well.

The kids posing like the petroglyph above them.

What a great playground for kids (and adults).
