This picture was taken on New Year's Day 2023, but because all the snow fell on Old Year's day we decided to include a few pictures on this November 2022 - December 2022 web page. It had been raining quite a lot over the holidays, but about 10 in the morning on Old Year's Day the rain turned to snow. We ended up with about 14 inches of very wet and heavy snow that did knock the electric power out for over 12 hours, but it wasn't cold and the moisture will be great in the year to come. We were thankful for this very good start to the New Year. |

New Years Day 2023 fell on Sunday and Hannah and Bob always go walking together on Sunday mornings. This was a chance for them both to take their cameras along and get some great shots of all the fresh snow. |
Our front yard on New Years morning. |
Bob with our great neighbor Sean Summers. Sean was out early in the morning trying to knock the snow load off his trees to keep the branches from breaking off. |
The wet snow we received Old Years night made for great photo ops in our neighborhood. This was taken in the park right next to our house. |
This picture of our neighbor's car gives a sense of how much snow we recieved Old Years night. This is when it's nice to have a truck. | |
A Happy Christmas together! Caleb and Hannah got Bob tickets for them to attend a Don Felder concert on January 21, 2023 at South Lake Tahoe. |

...a 13" machete! |
The weather was really nice on Christmas Day, so after opening gifts Bob and Hannah headed outdoors and had another successful day at the shooting range. |
After a great day at the range it's back to the reloading bench to prepare for the next outing. |
Bob and Lisa were glad to host the GOED Christmas Party on December 16th at our home. |

November 21th Bob and Lisa flew to Montana for a week with their extended family over Thanksgiving. Lisa enjoyed having some downtime on the airplane with nothing more to do than just study the airplane direction sheet! |
A fun time getting together with Bob's mom, Evie, and Bob's brothers, Dave and Jim. |
Bob and Lisa took Bob's mom, Evie, along on our day trip to visit Lisa's parents in Great Falls. |
We enjoyed a meal of KFC chicken, potatoes, corn and slaw with Ken and Berdell in their apartment in the historic Rainbow Hotel in Great Falls. |
One of the highlights of visiting Montana is attending mom's church, the historic Manhattan Christian Reformed church. The building is over a hundred years old, but the Christian community is vibrant and growing. |
Another highlight of our time in Montana was a lovely Thanksgiving dinner with Bob's uncle, Jim Danhof, and his new wife, Betty at their beautiful home overlooking the spectacular hills and mountains that surround it. Dinner was fabulous, followed by dominoes, and some of Evie's heavenly pies. We also enjoyed looking out their living room window through the spotting scope at bison and elk herds dotting the hills. |
Caleb happy to show off a good hand in dominoes. |
And Grandma's pumpkin pie for dessert! |
A fun time around the dining room table had by all. |
Bob and Lisa found this fun gift for Evie, who loves chickens, in Scheels on our trip to Great Falls. Boy, could it squawk! |
A lovely Montana sunset to end our special time. |
A great and blessed trip. Our family on the plane heading back home on Nov 26th. |
