Our family around the 2019 Christmas tree before opening gifts.

Chester all dressed up in his new bow tie getting ready to celebrate his first Christmas.

All our pretty presents.

Our two special elves!

Lisa opening the first present on Christmas morning with Chester alongside trying to figure the whole thing out.

Caleb uses a computer extensively both for school and his own video projects, so this year we got him a new and powerful notebook computer. He was very excited!

And Dad scored a chocolate Crescent wrench.

Lisa loves to use her Dutch Oven and cast iron cookware for making meals when camping. The only thing she was missing was a cast iron frying pan so she was pleased when she got one this year for Christmas.

Hannah was jazzed with Dad's gift to her of a new drill and impact driver. Once again, curious Chester is trying to figure it all out.

Bob and Hannah all smiles with their new tools.

Chester and Hannah having fun with a towel dispenser box that probably has something different than a towel dispenser in it.

Lisa was very excited to get a robotic vacuum cleaner!

As far as she's concerned, the less cleaning in 2020, the better!

Tatjana Vukovic and Patty Herzog all smiles at the Christmas cheer party we hosted at our house for Bob's office staff. It was a really great time with friends away from work.

Keith and Dana Novotny visiting with Bonnie Long.

Keith and Dana's dog Sadie with Chester. These two pups had a great time and kept everyone entertained.

Dad and Daughter having a fun time at the party.

Like we've done the past few years, we celebrated Thanksgiving in Montana visiting Grandparents. Bob, Lisa and Caleb drove up early in the week and Hannah flew in the night before Thanksgiving because of her class schedule.

Thankfully the roads were good and gave Caleb a chance to get in over nine hours of driving towards his permanent Driver's License.

Caleb, Lisa and Chester at an always fun stop at Craters of the Moon National Monument.

Earlier in the week we visited Lisa's parents in Great Falls and then drove down to Bob's parents place near Bozeman. We enjoyed Thanksgiving Day with just them and our family.

It was a wonderful time!

Grandma Potts and Chester loving on each other.

We all had a really great and special time with family. Here we are playing the traditional game of Old Maid with Grandma's ancient cards.

Caleb and Ray Ansotegui, Bob's undergraduate advisor, and very good friend. It was so good to see him again.

This fall (November 14-16) Caleb played in Sierra Lutheran High School's (SLHS) production of Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." This production was only the 2nd Shakespearean play in SLHS's history.

Caleb enjoyed playing the roll (center stage) of "Bottom the Weaver," one of a company of Athenian Tradesmen who put on a play for the king.

Caleb, playing "Bottom the Weaver" monologues about his new role in the tradesmen's theatrical production.

Bottom comically attempts to get a new part in their performance.

In a sudden act of fairy mischief, Bottom's head is transformed into a donkey's.

Titania, queen of the fairies (center) falls prey to a love potion and becomes infatuated with the transformed Bottom.

The devious Puck stands over the unconscious lovers.

Bottom returns to Athens just in time to perform in the play within a play.

Bottom playing Pyramus in the play within a play. Pyramus comedically stabs himself as the play concludes.

Thisbe mourns over the "dead" Pyramus.

Puck breaks the fourth wall and suggests to the audience that the play was all a dream.

The entire cast as they take bows. Mr Kois (on the far right), their director and cast, did a fabulous job on this difficult production.

In early November, Bob joined other state agency leaders for a conference in Fort Lauderdale. Although the conference kept him very busy, he did have some time to enjoy the beautiful beach right next to his hotel.

Lisa always asks when Bob gets back from a conference near the ocean if he went in the water. She loves the ocean much more than Bob does so he always takes a picture of his feet to prove that he, in fact, went into the water.

A beautiful Atlantic sunrise.

The view Bob had of the beautiful Fort Lauderdale coastline when flying back home.
