One of the great things about living in Carson City is that we are within an hour drive of 14 world class ski resorts. The closest to our home is Diamond Peak which is only about a half-hour away. This is a picture of Lisa and Hannah at Diamond Peak on a "Bluebird" day. |

Although Bob and Lisa grew up skiing in Montana, the kids have little experience with skiing growing up in southern Nevada. Here, Lisa is giving Caleb tips on how it's done. It won't be long and he will be passing Dad and Mom up. |

One of the big challenges we faced this year was Bob being diagnosed with prostate cancer. The good news was it was detected very early and we took immediate steps to deal with it. There were a number of options from radiation to surgery, but in the end we opted for robotic surgery at the Stanford University Medical Center. We were there for three days from February 26th through March 1st. While there we stayed on campus at the Stanford Guest House which was very convenient once Bob was released from the hospital. In the end, everything went really well and post-surgery pathology stated there was a 91 percent probability Bob was now cancer free. That's about as high as it gets. |
Lisa all smiles after a successful surgery and getting to go back home. We were thankful our friends Jim and Mari Germain offered to stay with our kids during this stressful time. |
We arrived a day before Bob's scheduled surgery and had a chance to tour around the Stanford Campus a bit. It really is a beautiful campus with the Memorial Church in the Main Quad at it's center. This is a picture of the amazing Pipe Organ at the back of the church. |

The Stanford Cancer Center. Avery nice place that you'd rather not have to spend too much time in. |
Truly a world-class facility. |
