Over the last day of July and the first few days of August, we made a trip to San Diego to visit Sea World, the San Diego Zoo and Cabrillo National Monument. Click Here to see some great images and read about our our fun trip.

Visiting the San Diego Zoo was like spending a day in the jungle.

It was a special treat to see the Giant Panda. They were much larger than expected.
Beautiful, richly colored ducks along the stream. One thing so enjoyable about the San Diego Zoo was the variety of animals and plants.
Our day at Sea World was also a great time. Here we had the chance to see the wonderful animals of the sea including these amazing dolphins.
One of our favorite exhibits at Sea World was the Northern Frontier where we showed up just in time for the polar bear feeding.

For our July Group Outing adventure we hiked to the 11,528 summit of Mummy Mountain. This was a challenging nine mile, in-and-out hike with a gain and loss of about 4,000 feet of elevation. The group did great on a beautiful day escaping the Las Vegas heat.
