After a great day in Yankee Doodle with the whole family, Bob took our friends Paul and Summer Mudd for a trip through Spry Canyon in Zion National Park. Spry is one of our favorite canyons, but a bit too technical for the kids yet. Paul and Summer are climbers so Spry was a great second introduction to canyoneering for them. |

One of the goofy raps in Spry. |
Always kind of enjoy this anchor as it's a bit committing leaning out over the gap to set up the rap. |

A beautiful 90 foot rappel into a dark and narrow slot. This is one of the best raps in Spry. |

Every time I go through Spry I think about how difficult it would be to negotiate this rock that is almost a perfect canyon plug if it weren't for the small gap on the right. |

A great day in a great place with great friends! |
