Spry Canyon (April 28, 2006)

Our approach north up the Pine Creek drainage off of highway 9
after parking at the entrance of the Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel.

Lisa on the 4th class slickrock as we make our way to the
head of Spry Canyon.

Myself and Mike Brunson heading down the upper section of Spry.

The first rappel (165 feet).

Lisa on the first "wet" rap.

A number of the raps in Spry are, as Shane Burrows says, "goofy".

"What a great place to be!"

Lisa on rappel.

Myself coming down one of the half dozen or so
beautiful dry raps in Spry.

A big part of the fun is not knowing what you're dropping into.

Life is good. I need to figure out how to make a living at this.

Lisa on the exit rap.

Coming off the "Lamb's Tongue" formation on our exit.

Mike Brunson the friend and photographer of almost all the
pictures on this web page.
