Behunin Canyon (October 4, 2006)

A beautiful sunrise before our arrival in Zion National Park for a
spectacular day in Behunin Canyon.

Myself just above Scouts Landing on the West Rim trail en route to Behunin Canyon.

My partner and friend Mike Brunson.

The October colors in Zion are spectacular.

Looking up at the West Rim of Zion Canyon from the head of Behunin Canyon.

The spectacular 165 foot second rappel in Behunin.

Coming down the second rap.

Looking up the 150 foot third rappel that ends in a wonderful bowl in the bottom of the canyon.

Looking south down the inner canyon.

Coming down the last, mostly free, 160 foot rappel.

Near the bottom of a great canyon with grand views and big raps. Although
it is straight forward, this canyon is fairly committing.

Sorting gear at Emerald Pools.

Back on the shuttle bus. Do you think he had a good time??
